Description

Delicious Oreo cinnamon rolls topped with creamy frosting, perfect for a sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk (warmed)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 tbsp milk (to adjust consistency)

Instructions

  1. Warm the whole milk until lukewarm and activate the active dry yeast by stirring it into the milk.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, salt, and the yeast-milk mixture.
  3. Add melted unsalted butter and eggs, mixing everything until a sticky dough forms.
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead it thoroughly until smooth and elastic, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm spot for 1 to 1 hours until it doubles in size.
  6. In a bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies, ground cinnamon, and brown sugar, mixing well to create the sweet and flavorful filling.
  7. Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a large rectangle approximately 16 by 12 inches.
  8. Evenly spread the Oreo cinnamon filling over the surface of the dough, pressing lightly to help it adhere.
  9. Starting from the longer side, tightly roll the dough into a log.
  10. Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 12 equal slices approximately 1 to 1 inches thick.
  11. Arrange the slices in a greased baking pan, leaving a little space between each.
  12. Cover and let the rolls rise again for 15-20 minutes until slightly puffed.
  13. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  14. Bake the cinnamon rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  15. While the rolls bake, beat softened cream cheese and butter together until creamy.
  16. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  17. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons milk as needed to reach a spreadable consistency.
  18. Once the rolls have slightly cooled but are still warm, generously drizzle or spread the cream cheese frosting over the top.
  19. Serve warm and enjoy the decadent flavor combination.
