Description
Delicious slow cooker taco beef, perfect for tacos or as a filling for burritos.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds chuck roast
- 1 packet taco seasoning (about 1 ounce)
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- to taste Fresh cilantro, lime wedges, and shredded cheese (for topping)
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the chuck roast and cut it into large chunks.
- Season the beef chunks generously with taco seasoning.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced onion until translucent, then add minced garlic for one minute.
- Place the seasoned beef in the slow cooker, top with sautéed onions and garlic, and pour in beef broth until just covered.
- Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until tender.
- Shred the beef inside the slow cooker using two forks and serve with warm tortillas and toppings.
Notes
- Can serve with additional toppings such as sour cream or avocado.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
