Description
Delicious hot dogs cooked quickly in an Instant Pot, perfect for a summer cookout or quick dinner!
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 medium hot dogs (with casings)
- 3 cups beer (or can use water, or half and half)
Instructions
- Put hot dogs into Instant Pot or pressure cooker with enough water to cover them barely (if cooking multiple packages, just cover about half way up; 3 cups is usually sufficient for 1 package).
- If using hot dogs with casings, set the Instant Pot to low pressure for 3 minutes.
- If using packaged hot dogs without casings (like Oscar Mayer), set for just 1 minute.
- For cooking in bulk (more than 20) or frozen dogs, set for 2 minutes but ensure they are separated from one another before adding.
- Perform a quick release and serve in buns with all the fixings.
Notes
- Hot dogs with casings will take longer to cook.
- Adjust cooking time based on the number and type of hot dogs being used.
- Cooking times are approximate; please check for desired doneness.
