Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, Dijon mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 3 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Transfer the marinated chicken breasts to a baking dish (retain leftover marinade for basting if desired). Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Baste with leftover marinade halfway through cooking if desired.
  6. Remove the chicken from the oven and allow it to rest for about 5 minutes before slicing to keep it tender and juicy.
