Description

Delicious flank steak tacos marinated in a zesty citrus and spice mix.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • 2 teaspoons adobo sauce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 to 1 lb flank steak
  • 8 (6-inch) tortillas
  • Optional toppings: fresh cilantro, diced red onion, avocado, queso fresco, lime wedges

Instructions

  1. In a ziplock bag or shallow dish, combine the orange juice, lime juice, olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, adobo sauce, salt, cumin, chili powder, and paprika.
  2. Add the flank steak, seal the bag, and turn over a few times to make sure the steak is coated with the marinade.
  3. Place the bag in a dish and refrigerate for 6-8 hours.
  4. When ready to cook, preheat a grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the steak from the bag and shake off any excess marinade.
  6. Place the steak on the grill. Grill for about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  7. Remove from the grill and let the steak sit for 5 minutes.
  8. Slice the steak into thin pieces.
  9. To assemble the tacos, place a few slices of steak on each tortilla. Top with any desired toppings.
  10. Serve immediately.
