Description

Deliciously crispy fried marshmallows that are perfect for a sweet treat!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag (10 oz / 280 g) large marshmallows
  • 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Freeze marshmallows for at least 30–45 minutes (helps prevent melting too fast).
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add milk, egg, and vanilla. Mix until smooth batter forms.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pot to 175°C (350°F).
  5. Dip each frozen marshmallow in batter, coating fully.
  6. Fry 3–4 at a time for about 30–45 seconds, until golden brown.
  7. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to achieve a crispy exterior.
