Description
A refreshing fizzy drink combining cranberry juice and sparkling water with a hint of citrus.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cranberry juice (preferably unsweetened or lightly sweetened)
- 1 cup sparkling water (chilled for maximum fizz)
- 0 cups citrus liqueur or lemon juice (choose based on preference for zing or depth)
- 1 fresh lemon (for squeezing fresh juice)
- a handful fresh herbs or fruit slices (mint, rosemary, or citrus slices for garnish)
- as needed ice (chilled and plenty of it)
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients and tools: a large pitcher, measuring spoons, a citrus juicer, a sharp knife, and a cutting board.
- Juice the lemon using a citrus juicer until you have about two tablespoons of fresh lemon juice. Set aside.
- Pour the cranberry juice into the large pitcher, then add the fresh lemon juice, giving it a gentle stir to combine the bright, ruby-red base.
- Slowly pour in the chilled sparkling water, watching as it bubbles up and creates a lively, fizzy mixture. Stir gently to blend.
- Add a splash of citrus liqueur or extra lemon juice for brightness, then give the spritzer a quick stir to incorporate the flavors.
- Fill glasses with plenty of ice, then pour the spritzer over the ice, ensuring each glass is chilled and effervescent.
- Garnish each glass with fresh herbs or a slice of citrus to add aroma and visual appeal, then serve immediately for the best sparkle and freshness.
Notes
- This drink is best served immediately to maintain its fizz.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less cranberry juice.
