- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 2 tablespoons 2% milk
- 3 drops orange food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Beat in the egg, salt, orange zest, orange juice, and lemon extract until everything is well combined.
- Gradually add the flour, mixing until the dough comes together.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges turn lightly golden.
- Cool the cookies completely on a wire rack.
- For the icing, mix the confectioners’ sugar, milk, and orange food coloring in a bowl until you achieve a smooth consistency.
- Drizzle or spread the icing over the cooled cookies.
