Instructions

  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Beat in the egg, salt, orange zest, orange juice, and lemon extract until everything is well combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour, mixing until the dough comes together.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges turn lightly golden.
  7. Cool the cookies completely on a wire rack.
  8. For the icing, mix the confectioners’ sugar, milk, and orange food coloring in a bowl until you achieve a smooth consistency.
